1. There was lots of excitement in division 9 this week. Students measured and evaluated a variety of different pumpkins. There was weighing, cutting, measuring and cooking happening in all of the centres. Students were very interested to see the shapes, sixes and seeds of the pumpkins they explored. Hands on learning!
2. In our division two intermediate classroom, we had a directed drawing lesson from Mr. Keranen. Students learned where to place the eyes, the nose, the ears and other facial details. There are some budding artists in this class!
3. Mrs. Merkel is teaching Remembrance day songs to all of our students. Students go to the Multi-purpose room for music. Recorders, choral and rhythm will be taught to different grades this term. There is also a lunch hour choir on Wednesdays for any intermediate student who wishes to join.
4. Our intermediate students love to play dodgeball. Our large gym is perfect for group games that involve more than one division.
Check out the Township of Langley programs for after school and on the weekends. Drop-in badminton is very popular.
We also use our gym for staff on Wednesday after school and for Dad's basketball on Friday night.

5. Thanks to the grandparent who donated apples to our school from their garden. This week kindergarten and daycare have used our kitchen to make apple sauce with children. The children love it when their Moms come into help. We appreciate our volunteers as well as the folks who donate items like apples to our school.
Another wonderful week with our Bulldogs and a timely reminder that we are also thankful for the things that are given to us!
Way to go Bulldogs!
