Our first assembly on Sept. 8th. Our grade 5 leadership team taught all students the Bulldog cheer. Staff were welcomed to the school with MARS chocolate bars, a favourite of Richard Bulpitt.
Grade five leaders designed their name tags. Our youngest students were over-joyed to be able to play in the long-jump pit.
We ended the first week with an afternoon concert in the gym. Students and adults listened to Will Stroet and his backyard band. It was a great way to end the first week.
Teachers were preparing bulletin boards in their classrooms and the hallways. They were getting ready for "Meet the Teacher" night.
On Pyjama day, students in music were tossing their stuffs in time to the music. Meanwhile, Mrs. Cowland was preparing the library learning commons for DOT day.
Our amazing PAC sponsored a "Welcome Back to School" Bar b Que. The dads were wonderful cooks. On "Wear Orange to School" day, staff and students wore their orange colours to remind us that "Every Child Matters" and we care about our aboriginal learners who were placed in residential schools.
This past Friday October 2nd, we held our Terry Fox run. Everyone in the school participated. Our students raised $1050. for cancer research. Way to go Bulldogs! It has been an amazing start-up to the new school year.
