On Monday October 19th, the federal election was happening in our country. At Richard Bulpitt, students has an opportunity to come to the gym and see the polling stations in action. AT the same time, our Learning Commons Library was preparing for its book fair. Sales opened on Tuesday and many students came to shop and but. Thanks to everyone for their support. Thanks to our parent volunteers who came to help. A major port of the profits are returned to the school.
The Safari refuge society came to school on Tuesday and presented many interesting animals and reptiles for students to observe. Tortoises, turtles, scorpions and snakes were all a part of the presentation. Mrs. Cowland in the library learning commons, was prepared for a busy book fair. Thanks again to all the folks who came out and supported the book fair.
On Wednesday a very excited group of students and chaperones attended "Me to We" in Vancouver. It was a packed event and our students enjoyed every minute. At school, students continued to share their learning and many displays are in the upstairs hallways showcasing student learning.
Mrs. Smith's class spent some time learning about their rights as citizens. The elections, gave students a real life opportunity to learn about democracy . Another great week of learning at Richard Bulpitt.
