It has been a busy few weeks at Richard Bulpitt School. Mrs. Lenko has had some computer issues and was unable to update the Bulldog Blogg. There are lots of photos and events that are shared in this session. We received a long-jump pit at the beginning of the month. It was instantly adopted by our primary students and has been the Sandbox ever since. Our new park next door is very popular with the whole community.
Every few weeks, Division 4 has been busy learning about plants and Gardens. They attend the Langley community gardens just off 200th street. This hands-on learning experience allows them to be in an outdoor classroom setting.
There were many special cards and gifts created for Mother's day. The Me to We club sponsored an amazing bake sale. This club for grades four and fives are providing some great leadership opportunities for the school.
Our last years' students came back to talk to our current grade fives about Yorkson Middle School. Hard to believe, we will transition our grade fives in just a few weeks. We are very proud of the students in Mrs. Rolston's class for saving up their allowance to contribute to the earthquake survivors in Nepal. We are building Global Citizens.
Principal Caius and Vice Principal Rylan had an amazing day when they took over the administrative office! They even received a ride to McDonald's in the red mustang!
The Grade 5s had wonderful warm weather for their swim program at Al Anderson Pool.
The grade fours learned about scientific rotations at Playland. Our Principal of the day enjoys lunch in the office.
Thanks to all of our Helping Moms! The grade five students had a group goto taken on the playground.
The Starlab was in the gym one day. Students in grade two had the opportunity to go to the Planetarium. The Friday track meet at Mcleod Park was hot and exciting. Our students not only had great sportsmanship, they also proved to be able competitors. Well done Bulldogs!
Mcleod Park 2015 Track meet.
Thanks to Mrs. Mcdonald, Mr. Kroeker, Mrs. Connolly, Ms. Matson and Mr. Keranen for your work on preparing the students for the Trackmeet.
Spring Carnival was a huge success! Mr. Kroeker enjoyed getting wet. Students and families from the community came and supported this fundraiser.
The staff hosted a special parent tea in the multi-purpose room. Fine china, lace table cloths and delicate snacks were provided. Thanks Mrs. De Groot for having some of our students perform for parents.
The weather was extremely cooperative for Beach day with grades 1,2 and 3. Everyone had a wonderful time.
Sandcastles, catching crabs and running in the water were some of the activities at Beach day.
Thank-you to Forresters Company for donating Earthquake kits to our school. We had some dedicated volunteers come on Friday and put the kits together. Goos to know that we are prepared.
The Junkology man came to division 1 on Friday. Lots of cool things were created using all of the items that we think are useless. Good to see our students are recycling creatively! Another wonderful few weeks at Richard Bulpitt Elementary school.
